Alternatively, you can use constants configured from the "Configure Constants" window as either the
Leftside or RightSide
The Leftside and RightSide can be of 3 types:
1) Indicator - can be a fixed terms of a timeframe, or an outputindicator of a study
2) Mixed - Combines 3 elements, where the Operator operates on the Indicator and the Value
Indicator
Operator + , = , / , / or abs
Value
3) Value - a numerical value
The operator can be one of the following:
If the operator selected is >%, <% or within%, then a value must also be selected to as a a parameter for the operator
Once you've named and Saved the Condition, the Expanded condition will be displayed which will show on one line, the
terms you've configured for the condition.
Other Components of the Condition
Symbol
Put a valid symbol in this field and it becomes a part of the condition, in otherwords the condition is true when the criteria specified are met, for this symbol specified only. This is useful if you want to configure criteria such as the following:
1) SPX is > SPX previous day high
2) TRIN > 2
Configure inverse
If this is selected, then two conditions are generated
1) the first is the condition configured
2) the second is the inverse of the first and its condition name is prefixed with "not"
The Inverse Configuation can be useful when configuring Exit criteria, which you will sometimes need to be configured as the inverse of the Entry criteria
Conditions Tip #1
When you Create and Save a Condition, the name you choose will be sandwiched by 'C'. For Example if you call a condition
test4, then the conditionname generated by Stormtracker will be Ctest4C. This naming convention is contrasted with the Complex Conditions, which sandwiches the name with a 'Q'Conditions Tip #2
If you call a studyname "sn7" and use the configure Inverse option, then the two studies configured will be
Csn7C notCs7C - the inverse of Csn7C.
Using the Conditions Configured , you can add these conditions to form more complex Criteria in the Complex Conditions Window. In the Modules Window, use combinations of Conditions and complex conditions to form your
