While StormTracker is running, the "Load Sectors/Symbols" window can be edited to change the sectors/symbols that you read in. All changes take effect on the next run of StormTracker.

In order to add a sector, just type the sector index in an available spot in the left column. Entries in the left column can be stock symbols as well as sector indices. If an entry is made in the left column then it must also contain a corresponding entry in the right column, corresponding to a file in the sectors folder that contains symbols for that sector. The exception to this is if you type keyword "ALL" in the right column, which means that no file is requred for the sector, but the sector will be read in and tracked by StormTracker.

Stormtracker comes with 17 predefined sector lists(For the RealTick version only)  You can choose between the sectorlists by toggling the sectorlist combo box at the bottom of the window. These are meant as starting points for you to design your customized sectors/symbollists.

Any time a new Entry is made to either column, "Modified" will appear in the upper left hand corner of the "Load Sectors/Symbol" window. The changes you make will be saved only if you press the "Save" button, otherwise the contents of sectorlist.txt will remain the same.

If you press "Save" when a row has no entry in the right column, it gives the message "Missing Symbol File" in the Upper Left Hand Corner of the Load Sectors/Symbols window

If you press "Save" when a row has no entry in the left column, it gives the message "Missing Index/Symbol" in the Upper Left Hand Corner of the Load Sectors/Symbols window

You can press the cancel button at any time to cancel the editing process.

In order to Edit or Create  a new symbol list that goes in the right column, select the row you want to add by selecting the radio button next to the row you want to add a symbol file to.  You must add the next available row.  Once you've selected a row by selecting the radio button next to it, press the "Load File" button

When you press the "Load File" button, the following window comes up:

Press "Load" to enter the file into the row of "Load Sectors/Symbols" Window.  Press Edit to bring up the selected file in Notepad.

Add or delete symbols and then save and close Notepad.  StormTracker won't allow you to load a file unless it's been saved and closed, it will give the error message: "You must save and close 'filename'"  Once you press "Load" from the Load Sector Files window, the Load Sectors/Symbols window will look as follows, note the "Modified" in the upper left hand corner.

Just enter an index in the left hand column, to the left of watchlist.txt(YHOO in this case) , then "Save" it and the new symbol list will be read in, on  the next load of StormTracker.
