There are 5 kinds of Editable Modules
Previous Days Range
You can create a new editable module by clicking on the EditModules menu item on the Stormtracker toolbar or you can edit an existing Editable Module(EM) through the Add/Edit Module window. All the EMs contain various settings that can be enabled or disabled with checksboxes. If a checkbox is enabled then the condition to the right of the checkbox becomes active and the parameter to the right completes the condition. Conditions that have checkboxes that are not enabled are inactive and if any value is in the textbox to the right of the condition, it is ignored. See the topic Enabling Conditions in Editable Modules for an example of this.Although there are
5 types of EMs, you can have more than 1 of each type of EM configured in Stormtracker. In otherwords you could have 2 Volume Strength EMs, 3 Moving Average EMs, etc, each with their own specifications and names. There are 16 Base Modules and 5 Programmable modules. There are a maximum of 9 Editable Modules that can configured in Stormtracker. The Base, Programmable and Editable Modules can be combined in various ways to construct the desired functionality . This is discussed in
EZ Programmability. The 9 EMs can consist of any combination of the 5 available Editable Module types. The following shows the combinations you can have, and of course there are many other combinations possible.
9 MA Editable Modules
9 VS Editable Modules
4 MA Editable Modules and 5 VS Editable Modules
2 MA EMs, 2 VS EMs, 2 MO EMs and 2 RS EMs and 1 PDR EM
Purpose of Editable Modules
Editable Modules are created in order to specify a condition that you wish to filter for . For example you may want one Moving Average EM to filter for symbols that have an decreasing 30 minute average, with the price above the 30 minute average in order to filter for possible short entries. Another example using the Moving Average EM, is that you could specify filtering symbols that have the 10 minute moving average above the 30 minute moving average and the price above both moving averages in order to find symbols in a strong upward
trend. Once the EM is created you assign it a unique name(eg MA1) and it is referenced throughout Stormtracker with this name. It can then be "attached" to a Programmable Module(or a Base Module) via the "Add/Edit Module" window. This is discussed in
EZ Programmability. This process can be done on the fly while you're scanning symbols in realtime, or it can be done for the purpose of backtesting. In addition, the EM can implement extended functionality by associating them with a Symbol, Sector, or Futures Index, creating a Market Sentiment Indicator(MSI) . This is discussed in the topic
Market Sentiment Indicators(MSIs)
Delta Volume Strength
This Editable Module allows you to filter for various VS characteristics.
There is a definition of daily VS Volume Strength The VS Editable Module extends the concept of daily VS so that you can filter symbols for recent volume strength and can filter for increases or decreases in the rate of VS activity. See the topic

Moving Averages
The Moving Averages Editable Module(MA EM) is based on the 1 minute chart and uses 10 minute and 30 minute moving averages. You can filter using any combinations of price above or below the 10 minute and/or the 30 minute moving average. You can specify a slope or range of slopes of the 10 minute and/or the 30 minute moving average. See the topic Setting up RealTick Moving Averages
in the help file to see how to setup the moving averages in RealTick to correspond to those in Stormtracker.See the topic

Momentum
The Momentum(MO) Editable Module allows you to filter for buy and sell rates, where buy rate is the percentage of transactions on or near the ask and sell rate is the percentage of transactions on or near the bid for a given time periodSee the topic
Momentum Editable Modules
Relative Strength
Relative Strength Modules allow you to filter the Height Parameter which is an indication of recent price movement and
direction. See the topic

Previous Days Range
Previous Day's Range (PDR) Editable Module allows you to filter based on where the symbol is trading in relation to the previous day's high/low . The functionality can be extended by filtering on the high/low of up to 5 previous
days. See the topic
