It's important to know not only what symbols have high volume, but which have
have high volume relative to their own daily average volume. Volume
Strength(VS) is a configureable parameter in all modules, which is updated
tick by tick for each symbol, and allows you to see at a glance which symbols are trading actively. By trading only symbols with
a higher VS, you decrease the chance that you will be whipsawed out of your position by sudden Market Maker movements.
A VS of 1 means that if the current rate of activity on a stock
continues for the rest of the day, the stock will end the day at ithe
average volume for the stock. To screen for more active stocks,
increase the VS. Using a VS of 2.0 will ensure that you will
only be alerted to stocks that are very active. Conversely if
you set VS to 0, you will receive more alerts, but the Volume
Strength of the stocks will be much less.
